The Dorset Fiddlers bring together some of the county’s finest folk musicians and have been thrilling audiences in 2024 with their upbeat and original take on the rich instrumental tune traditions of Dorset. Using original source material from archival manuscripts and newly penned tunes, the ensemble weaves together an incredible variety of music in an array of exciting contemporary arrangements. Now is the chance to hear the exhilarating sound of a folk fiddle orchestra in their debut concert at the David Hall. Expect toe-tapping reels, driving jigs, elegant minuets, lilting waltzes and maybe a tune or two from Somerset!
